More than half a million people visited Wimbledon during the two-week Championship tennis event in 2019, significantly more than when the tournament first took place in the 1870s. The world’s top designers, stylists, editors and fashionistas gather at London Fashion week in September for a celebration of modern design, with shows, launches and after-parties taking place across the British capital for six days. Runway launches will set the tone for the following year’s Spring/Summer collection, and a programme of talks, presentations and discovery events will give attendees the chance to get to know their favourite designers and meet the who’s who of fashion.
